As larger numbers of people who apply for asylum in UK are homosexuals. As of new government, all those who seek protection in the soil of UK, have must first go to to Rwanda, which is central African country and we all know the humans rights situations in Africa.
Here, I will discuss "Is homosexualty is legal in Rwamda or not, how gays are being stigmatise in Rwanda" and will talk about your related other issues that homosexuals face in the central African republic.
Homosexualty in Rwanda:
Rwanda is one of the few African countries, where consensual homosexual relations are not consider as crime. Their is no punishment for such relations. So, this is good news for all those will go to Rwanda and will stay in the country until their application is proceed.
Stigmatisation of Gay People in Rwanda:
Although, no official punishment for same sex relations is their in rwanda but still the society is not ready to accept the equal rights of the homosexuals.
Same - sex marriages is highly stigmatised in the Rwandan society and according to humans rights watch, In 2021, Human Rights Watch documented how the authorities arbitrarily detained nine transgender or gay people at Gikondo transit center, in Kigali.
